UN Ocean Conference – AAC Workshop | 28 June

The Atlantic Arc Commission (AAC) is organising a Side Event of the UN Ocean Conference called “Addressing Marine Pollution in the Atlantic Ocean: The role of interregional cooperation and EU leverages“.

This event will aim to discuss ideas for tackling marine pollution through transnational cooperation and is scheduled to take place:

– An interactive dialogue featuring speakers from the European Parliament, the European Commission, OSPAR and the Atlantic Strategy and, aimed at gathering input on how best to address marine pollution and boost interregional cooperation in the Atlantic Area;

– Presentation of the actions against marine litter of the CleanAtlantic Project, of which the AAC is a partner.

This workshop will take place on 28 June 2022 (13.15 – 14.45, local time) in Lisbon, at the Hotel Tivoli Oriente.
